Assembly Technician

Assembly Technician – Williamsburg, MI

This full‑time position focuses on assembling and repairing products by hand, following blueprints and specifications. The role requires consistent, reliable attendance and the willingness to work rotational Saturdays.

• Read blueprints and manuals to assemble or repair product equipment.
• Check inventory to ensure the correct materials are available.
• Use tools and machinery to assemble the product.
• Perform quality assurance checks for accuracy.
• Inspect products during and after build completion.
• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain consistent, reliable attendance and readiness at start time.
• Work rotational Saturdays.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Construction or auto mechanic experience preferred.
• Manual dexterity.
• Blueprint reading skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong computer skills;
  Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. ERP experience is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time‑management skills and ability to communicate with all levels of coworkers and customers.
• Intermediate language skills: read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups.
• Basic mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide simple numbers and perform operations using units of American money and weight, volume, and distance.
• Basic reasoning ability: apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions; handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Regularly use sit, use hands, talk/hear; frequently reach with hands; occasionally stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste/smell.
• Lift up to 10 lbs regularly; 25 lbs frequently; 50 lbs occasionally.
• Work near moving mechanical parts and expose to fumes or airborne particles.
