Job SummaryThe Container Technician III provides senior-level technical expertise in the maintenance, inspection, repair, alteration, overhaul, and certification of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) containers and 3:1 Configurable Shelters. This position ensures compliance with regulatory, technical, and safety standards while leading complex repair operations and supporting logistics and certification requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform advanced structural assessments, refurbishment, and repair of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) containers and 3:1 Configurable Shelters in accordance with regulatory and technical specifications.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of Convention for Safe Containers (CSC) regulatory requirements and the certification process outlined in Military Standard (MIL‑STD) 3037.
- Lead complex container and shelter repair operations to ensure all safety, operational, and certification standards are met.
- Prepare, review, and maintain documentation required for certification, audit, and regulatory compliance.
- Train and mentor junior technicians to ensure consistent workmanship, adherence to evolving standards, and professional development.
- Support logistics and operational activities through technical expertise and compliance oversight.
- Maintain compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management in support of program requirements.
High school diploma or equivalent.
ExperienceMinimum of 10 years of experience performing maintenance, inspection, repair, alteration, overhaul, and certification of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) containers and 3:1 Configurable Shelters.
Specialized ExperienceDemonstrated expertise in structural assessment, refurbishment, and complex repair of container systems. Proven knowledge of Convention for Safe Containers (CSC) regulatory requirements and container certification processes in accordance with Military Standard (MIL‑STD) 3037 is required.
CertificationsConvention for Safe Containers (CSC) certification. Ability to obtain International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPM) 15 certification. Certification to operate forklifts with capacities ranging from 4,000 to 30,000 pounds.
