Job Summary:
- The Hazardous Material Lead provides senior oversight, leadership, and technical direction for hazardous materials and hazardous waste operations to ensure regulatory compliance and mission readiness.
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead authority for hazardous materials and hazardous waste operations.
- Manage the full lifecycle of hazardous materials including receipt, storage, inventory, transportation, and disposal.
- Oversee hazardous waste determination, profiling, documentation, and disposal activities.
- Direct shelf-life management and extension programs for hazardous materials.
- Enforce quality assurance standards and corrective actions.
- Supervise assigned hazardous materials personnel and ensure training compliance.
- Coordinate inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews.
- Ensure compliant shipment of dangerous goods.
- Maintain automated hazardous material accountability systems.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications and
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of hazardous materials management experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
Specialized
Experience:
Expert knowledge of hazardous materials and hazardous waste regulatory requirements and lifecycle management.
Certifications:
OSHA HAZWOPER certification (29 CFR ).
