CTR Group is currently seeking an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN I - DIVING EQUIPMENT MECHANIC for a Government site in the Williamsburg, VA area. Available immediately. PAY RATE: $19.81 - $24.90 per Hour

SUMMARY:

The major duties of this position will be to review approved drawings and develop work packages to bring USWH lists up to RFI (Ready For Issue) condition based on modifications in the drawings. Additional duties will include performing simple routine tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures, performing one or a combination of assembling or installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering or connecting, performing simple or routine tasks or tests such as tensile or hardness tests, operating and adjusting simple test equipment, recording test data, gathering and maintaining specific records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.,

performing computations by substituting numbers in specific formulas, plotting data and drawing simple curves and graphs.

REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduate or equivalent. Experience reading drawings and documenting changes required in the revision block of the drawings and identifying any materials, tools, equipment, etc., that require being purchased. Ability to work with others to develop estimates and task orders to accomplish the drawing revisions to equipment. Experience tracking progress of modifications to equipment. Must be capable of handling weights up to 100 pounds, average of 50 pounds.

Work requires climbing vertical and inclined ladders and brief periods of strained positions, such as kneeling, stooping and maneuvering in close quarters.
