Position Overview Employees must have a strong background and working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems for daily work. Fabrication and welding experience also required. Ability to follow instructions, work unsupervised, with a sense of urgency, self-motivation and overall good work ethics while performing tasks in a safe manner. Must be able to travel periodically, and work at remote locations, ashore or aboard ship.

Individual shall have a advanced understanding, and ability to use, Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook email. Must have, or be able to obtain, passport, security clearance, a forklift operator’s license and Cat 3 Crane Operator certification and rigger certification.

Responsibilities Oversee and track depot production and QA activities, while also performing depot level machinery repair activities, maintenance, & fabrication, as well as other related work assignments, as designated by Depot Machinery Repair Facilities Manager, or Machinery Repair Facility Supervisors.

Perform administrative support activities, such as manufacturing and maintenance database record keeping, report writing & submittals, computer-based training, and IT related activities.

Perform required activities and job assignments while aboard vessels, both in port, and while underway, locally, or abroad depending on ships location.

Qualifications High school degree or equivalent required.

Minimum 8 years of combined military & relevant work experience preferred.

Military experience preferred.

Ability to provide manufacturing engineering information and provide answers to questions and requests.

Possess a solid intermediate working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, pneumatic, and plc-based machinery systems.

Fundamental knowledge or experience in welding, cutting, grinding, fabricating, and painting.

Operate, maintain, and overhaul misc. cable machinery including Cable Haulers, Cable Drums, Transporters, DOHB, Trolley Hoists, and other types of machinery.

Operate sand blasting and paint booth equipment.

Assist in physical and mechanical loading and unloading cable containers.

Maintain supplies and repair parts as required.

Operate Forklifts and CAT III Cranes, and rig equipment for lifting when required.

Ability to produce product and process reports using data collected and analyzed within our facilities operations.

Use Microsoft programs to maintain manufacturing machinery history, quality assurance records, and misc. drawings and technical documentation.
