Job Description

Position Summary

William & Mary Dining isseekingan energetic, creative, and relationship-driven Sustainability Program Coordinator to lead and grow sustainability efforts across dining operations.

This role serves as the primary ambassador for sustainability within W&M Dining. The coordinator will help drive initiatives, build partnerships, and communicate the impact of sustainability efforts across campus through engaging storytelling, promotions, and outreach.

This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about sustainability, enjoys working with people, and has an interest in marketing, communications, and creative promotion to help elevate sustainability initiatives in a dynamic campus environment.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION:
The Hourly rate for this position is $20.00 to $22.75. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and support sustainability initiatives across dining operations
  • Serve as the main point of contact for sustainability efforts within W&M Dining
  • Build and maintain partnerships with campus departments, student groups, and community organizations
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to promote sustainability programs through campaigns, events, and storytelling
  • Assist in creating engaging content for social media, digital platforms, and other communication channels
  • Help develop promotional materials and messaging that highlight sustainability initiatives and impact
  • Engage and support student leaders, interns, and volunteers
  • Track progress and assist with reporting, recognition, and awards
  • Work with Dining leadership and campus partners to align sustainability efforts with broader goals
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to stay highly organized while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to plan, manage, and execute projects and operations efficiently while managing multiple moving parts.
  • Passion for sustainability and community engagement

Preferred

  • Experience in sustainability, higher education, hospitality, or food service
  • Exposure to or interest in marketing, communications, social media, or promotional work
  • Basic understanding of content creation, storytelling, or campaign development
  • Strong writing skills and ability to communicate ideas clearly and creatively
  • Experience with student engagement or campus programming
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting or recognition programs
