Williamsburg Obstetrics & Gynecology - Certified Nurse Midwife

Overview

Unified Womens Healthcare is the leading national platform for womens healthcare. Our affiliated practice, Williamsburg OB/GYN, is seeking a Full Time Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) - experienced preferred - but open to new graduates.

Position Highlights:

Well established practice with a great team of experienced physicians (longevity - 10-15 years with the practice)

• Practice consists of 3 OB/GYNs, 1 PA, 2 CNMs, 3 NPs

A schedule that allows work/life balance:

• 2 weekly clinic days 8a-5p with a lunch break, typically 18 patients a day seeing a mix of both OB and GYN patients
• 1 weekly day on L&D 8a-5p, seeing patients of our practice for OB ED care, labor, and inductions
• Every 4th night call 24 hours, 8a-8a, as above just continues overnight with post call day off
• Every 4th weekend Friday 8a-Monday 8a

As a practice we deliver 50 patients/month & growing - delivering at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center

• The CNM is always backed up by an MD.
• The CNM does not have a specific patient panel, we expect our patients to be comfortable with any of our providers delivering them and we rotate call with this in mind

CNM answers urgent after hours phone calls when they are on call.

CNM does not provide care for unassigned patients

Requirements:

• AMCB Certified Nurse-Midwife
• Graduate of a nurse-midwifery education program accredited by ACNM Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME)
• Master's degree in Nursing (MS/MSN)
• Active and unrestricted state registered nurse (RN) license

• CPR and NALS Certification

• Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain

• One year of full-time experience as a CNM is preferred
