Overview
Sentara Urgent Care Lightfoot is now hiring a Full‑Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Williamsburg, VA area.
All qualified candidates can receive up to a $8,000 sign‑on bonus.
Location & ShiftCity/State:
Williamsburg, VA
Work Shift:
Swing Shift (Monday‑Friday, dayshift). No nights, holidays or weekends.
The LPN provides basic nursing care under the supervision of an RN or Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) in a clinical setting, within the scope of practice dictated by the State Boards of Nursing. The LPN is detail‑oriented, compassionate, and able to handle physically demanding tasks. The LPN is an essential member of the healthcare team, offering patient care and supporting higher‑level nurses and physicians in delivering comprehensive medical services.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing testing, medication administration, and nursing interventions.
- Implementing care plans to support a holistic approach to patient care.
- Providing patient advocacy and preventing illness or disease.
- Teaching patients and families about health and safety.
- Communicating effectively with physicians, NPs, and PAs.
Trade school or diploma in LPN required.
Required Licensure:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) single‑state license (Virginia). Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
Clinical experience preferred.
