Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for 3 South – Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit. This is a Full Time position in Williamsburg, VA.

Hours: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM with rotating weekend schedule.

The Acute Cardiac/Stroke & IMCU Unit, 3 South, provides care for patients with cardiac conditions including heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators, post-coronary interventions, post-ablation, myocardial infarctions; and pre/post catheterization and acute stroke. The 24-bed unit sees a ratio of 1:6 with assistance of Patient Care Technicians, with an average ratio of 1:8. The unit is preparing for a transition to a Cardiac PCU step-down with a 1:4 ratio before year’s end, offering growth in a high-acuity setting.

Unique 6-month program includes:

• Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program
• BSN or MSN preferred

• Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire
• NIH within 1 year of hire

• Acute care nursing experience preferred
• Background in Stroke or Telemetry preferred
• New Grad RNs considered
