Registered Nurse Acute Medical Telemetry Part Time

Overview

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medical Telemetry unit. This part‑time daytime (7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.) position includes rotating weekends. Sign‑on bonus up to $15,000 may be available for qualified candidates.

• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post‑discharge care.
• Monitor and document vital signs, observe changes, and respond promptly with appropriate interventions.
• Use clinical judgment to address complex health situations and consult with the medical team as needed.
• Document all care in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science (MSN) preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license (or students in the process of obtaining one).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• No experience required; preference for 1 year of acute care or prior healthcare experience.
