Overview

This is a permanent part‑time role. Scan Scape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays, in aisle locations, and on end caps. The data collected is analyzed to improve sales performance for the product and retailer.

Grocery Store – Williamsburg, VA 23185 – Wednesday or Thursday.

Grocery Store – Grafton, VA 23692 – Wednesday or Thursday.

• Perform in‑store data collections at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks.
• Store types include grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise stores.
• Use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan barcodes throughout each store.
• Base hours average 4–10½ hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload.
• Additional hours (1–2 per week per store) for special projects throughout the year.
• Provide quantity for about 45% of scanned products.

• Report to store within the described deadline.
• Complete display scanning of the entire store each week.
• Custom Projects:
  Near‑weekly additional work adding 1–2 hours per week per store.
• Adhere to weekly deadlines.

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure long periods on feet and access products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stoop, or stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline‑driven self‑starter.
• Reliable Wi‑Fi access.
• Tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

This position is expected to remain open for approximately 30 days and may close earlier if sufficient qualified candidates are identified.
