Job Summary

As a member of Management, you will be the heartbeat of our store, responsible for managing daily operations, inspiring a high‑performance team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You’ll have the autonomy to shape the store’s success and contribute to our company’s growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, and develop a motivated team; foster a positive work environment, set clear goals, and provide ongoing feedback to ensure top performance.
  • Create an exceptional shopping experience by addressing customer needs, resolving issues, and ensuring high standards of customer service.
  • Drive store sales and profitability through effective merchandise management, promotional strategies, and achieving sales targets.
  • Oversee daily operations including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store maintenance; ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and health & safety regulations.
  • Manage store budgets, control expenses and analyze sales data to optimize performance and drive revenue growth.
  • Implement local marketing initiatives and build strong relationships with the community to enhance brand presence and attract new customers.
  • Stay current with industry trends and competitor activities, identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance store operations.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as required.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or similar role, with a track record of achieving sales targets and managing a team.
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets and make data‑driven decisions.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications.
Minimum Requirements
  • Assistant Store Manager:
    Open availability, including hours necessary to open and close the store (mornings, days, nights). Minimum standard work week of 5 days; average standard work week of 44 hours, increased during peak sales periods (e.g., Holiday, Back-to-School).
  • Supervisor:
    Availability during hours necessary to open and close the store (mornings, days, nights). Requires a minimum of 5 days of availability; minimum standard of a 30-hour work week.
  • All Management:
    Availability on weekends and holidays.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must speak and write English clearly; perform business‑related mathematics and read corporate sales reports.
  • May require ability to move to different locations within the company’s network based on operational needs.
Physical Demands

Requires prolonged standing approximately five to 14 hours per day. During peak sale periods (e.g., Holiday, Back-to-School) will work for long periods throughout a one to 12 hour day. Requires stooping and kneeling to place merchandise, reaching and pulling to obtain or stock merchandise on storage racks. May be required to climb ladder or ascend/descend stairs to stock or acquire merchandise for sale.

Required to lift items weighing 5–25 lbs regularly; may be higher. Must have good vision, including colour differentiation. Work environment is a moderately noisy retail setting.

Education

High School Diploma or GED equivalent; 2+ years’ experience in retail leadership strongly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation
  • Assistant Manager: $17.38–$20.50 per hour; bonus opportunities if store KPIs are met.
  • Supervisor: $14.77 per hour.
