The Field Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Williamsburg, VA. This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with automotive shops, collision centers, and dealership service departments, focusing on understanding their operational needs and recommending tailored Kent Automotive solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include visiting customer sites, conducting product demonstrations, identifying opportunities to improve shop efficiency, and presenting value-driven proposals.
The Field Sales Representative will manage a sales territory, meet or exceed sales targets, provide ongoing customer support, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and implementation of products and programs. This position also involves monitoring market trends, participating in training, and representing Kent Automotive at industry events or meetings as needed.
- Candidates should possess strong sales and account management skills, including territory planning, prospecting, and closing business.
- Candidates should possess customer relationship and service skills, including active listening, needs assessment, and solution-oriented communication.
- Candidates should possess basic business and analytical skills, such as understanding profitability drivers, interpreting sales data, and identifying growth opportunities.
- Candidates should possess organizational and time management skills to prioritize visits, manage pipelines, and meet deadlines in a field-based environment.
- Candidates should possess communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical products clearly and conduct in-shop demos or training.
- Experience in the automotive, collision repair, or dealership service industry is highly beneficial.
- A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel within the assigned territory are required.
- Comfort with using laptops, tablets, CRM systems, and other digital tools for sales reporting and customer management is preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; post-secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field is an advantage.
