Casual Security Operation Dispatch

Job Overview

Amentum is seeking a Casual Security Operation Dispatcher located in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The Dispatch position is a 24‑hour, 7‑day per week, 365‑day a year presence, including weekends and holidays.

• Operate two‑way radio equipment and telephone consoles to receive incoming emergency calls.
• Interview callers to determine the nature and type of problem, the number of personnel and equipment required, and scan status charts and computer screens to identify units available.
• Dispatch police, fire, medical, and other personnel and equipment to the scene of an emergency or the location of personnel requiring assistance.
• Provide instructions to callers, utilizing knowledge of emergency medical techniques prior to the arrival of first responders, when necessary.
• Monitor alarm system signals that indicate fire or other emergencies and accurately dispatch responding units.
• Input commands on a computer keyboard to update files, maintain logs, test communications, and verify alarm equipment and backup systems for serviceability.
• Maintain existing Standard Operating Procedures with the site Security Office, create Daily Tour of Duty reports, and perform ad‑hoc administrative support to site Security and Emergency Services Office.
• Route calls to appropriate business areas, issue hotel room keys for lost or misplaced visitors, and log/issue master keys to authorized personnel for various locations.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• U.S. citizen.
• Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations.
• Government‑issued security clearance at the time of application.
• Compliance with the Service Contract Act (SCA).

• This is an hourly, overtime‑eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA).
• In addition to the base hourly rate, eligible workers may receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour worked to meet SCA minimums.
• Compensation may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.
