Security Monitor – Williamsburg, VA
Amentum is seeking a Security Monitor located in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The primary duty is to observe and report security and emergency situations. The Security Monitor intervenes directly only in situations that require minimal action to safeguard property or persons. Duties require minimal training and physical fitness standards.
Responsibilities- Observe and report security and emergency situations.
- Stand or walk for prolonged periods (8‑12 hours per shift).
- Escort uncleared personnel.
- Walk on uneven surfaces and navigate active construction sites with debris and trip hazards.
- Climb up to five flights of stairs multiple times per shift.
- Lift up to 25 pounds (10 kilograms).
- Makes logical, mentally competent, and safe decisions when working on a construction site.
- HS Diploma or GED.
- Government‑issued security clearance at time of application.
- Ability to stand, walk for long periods, climb stairs, and lift heavy equipment.
- Exceptional observation skills, strong conflict resolution skills, and clear communication under pressure.
$22.37 per hour (actual compensation may vary based on factors such as responsibilities, education, experience, and market data).
