Job Title: Facility Site HVAC Mechanic (Industrial Facility)
$27-$30/hr . depending on skill set.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM + Weekend Rotation
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Journeyman Level HVAC Mechanic to support the operation and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems within an industrial facility. This role is responsible for ensuring all systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations. The position follows a standard daytime schedule with participation in a rotating (overtime) weekend coverage program.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, air handlers, rooftop units, exhaust systems, and refrigeration equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance in accordance with established schedules and manufacturer recommendations
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and implement effective repairs
- Monitor building automation systems (BAS) and make necessary adjustments
- Ensure proper airflow, temperature control, and indoor air quality across the facility
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and system performance
- Respond to service calls and emergency situations as needed
- Collaborate with maintenance teams, contractors, and facility management
- Follow all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and company policies
- Regular hours: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- Participation in a rotating weekend schedule for coverage and emergency response
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade school preferred
- 3+ years of HVAC experience in an industrial, commercial, or facility environment or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and electrical components
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- EPA Certification (Universal required or obtainable)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and confined spaces
- Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, and work in varying environmental conditions
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Willingness to work weekends as part of a rotation and respond to emergencies
- Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screen
