Job Description
CTR Group is seeking a Mechanical Trades Helper/ Rigger for the Dive Department of a government site in Williamsburg, VA.

SUMMARYAssists one or more workers in the skilled maintenance trades by performing specific or general duties of lesser skill, such as keeping a worker supplied with materials and tools, cleaning work areas, machinery, and equipment. The Trades Helper will assist journeyman by holding materials or tools and perform other tasks as directed by journeymen or supervisor. The kind of work the helper is permitted to perform varies from task to task.
The helper may be confined to supplying, lifting and holding materials and tools and cleaning working area, or be permitted to perform specialized machine operations or parts of a trade that are also performed by workers in a skilled trade. May perform after-hours, weekend and emergency response services as required to include overnight travel. The Trades Helper will handle weights up to 100 pounds, average of 50 pounds.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of experience assisting tradesmen or journeymen in rigging, mechanics, boat handling, machinery, electrical, or preventive maintenance.
- Must be able to complete parts of a trade independently.
- Ability to handle weights up to 100 pounds, average of 50 pounds.
