Lead Audio Video Installation Technician$25 - $35 per hour | Williamsburg, VA | On-Site | Permanent

Location:
Williamsburg, VA
Salary: $25–$35/hour
What You’ll Do- Lead and oversee commercial AV installation projects
- Train and mentor junior technicians on site
- Coordinate with sales engineers, project teams, clients, and contractors
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot AV systems and infrastructure
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to client expectations
- Maintain professional communication and strong customer service throughout installations
- 5+ years of experience installing and troubleshooting commercial audio/video systems
- 3+ years leading AV installations or supervising technicians
- Experience with flat panel displays, projectors, structured cabling systems, 25/70‑Volt audio systems, video distribution systems, IP encoders, control systems, DSP systems, rack building and wire lacing, and cabling rough‑ins
- Experience or training with AVIXA / Info Comm CTS, Biamp, Crestron, Extron, Legrand AV highly preferred
- Structured cabling experience
- Security/surveillance system experience
- Construction industry familiarity
- Computer and networking knowledge
- Own basic industry tools
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain DCJS licensing
- Comfortable working on ladders and using power tools safely
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Professional, dependable, and team‑oriented attitude
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt in fast‑paced environments
- Strong willingness to learn and grow within the industry
