The City of Williamsburg is seeking applicants to fill the Buidling Facilities Technician position. This position is responsible for performing skilled work in the maintenance of the City’s public buildings and parking garages, including electrical, street and park lighting, plumbing, and HVAC.
Education And Experience- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; and
- Three (3) years of experience in construction, building maintenance, and/or general repair work; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Virginia driver’s license
- Acceptable criminal background, DMV check and drug screen results
- Certifications in HVAC, electrical or related
- Knowledgeable of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems, with demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues. Strong technical knowledge of system maintenance practices and procedures is highly desirable
