Salary Range: $25.00 To $35.00 Hourly
We are looking for a motivated Manufacturing Equipment Mechanic to join our team at our Williamsburg, VA site. The ideal candidate has a strong background in both mechanical and electrical installations and repairs as well as preventative maintenance to work on a wide variety of equipment contributing to zero down time and efficient plant operations.
Primary Responsibilities/Job Duties
- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on a variety of equipment, including but not limited to compressors, polishers, coiling machines, manual and CNC machining equipment, electro-mechanical systems, light sources, forklifts, hydraulic systems, clean rooms, flow hoods, etc.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, implementing effective solutions
- Install new equipment and contribute to leasehold improvement projects
- Collaborate with the production teams to ensure all machinery and equipment is operating efficiently and safely
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
- General Facilities based duties as directed
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Required Knowledge and Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred
- Proven experience in mechanical and electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to self-organize and work independently
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends/overtime, as needed
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Must be a U.S. Persons as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62.
