Position Description
VAN DRIVER - RIDES PROGRAM in Williamsburg. CDL not required. Peninsula Agency on Aging (PAA) is currently seeking an individual to serve in the position as Van Driver for RIDES Program in Williamsburg.

Peninsula Agency on Aging has been providing services that have enabled seniors to live independently since 1974. Our mission is to support the independence and quality of life of Peninsula residents, primarily 60 years and over, by advocating, arranging, or providing vital human services.

Key Responsibilities- Operate a van and pick up senior citizens for congregate meals and return them to their homes.
- Assist participants in and out of vehicles.
- Transport senior citizens to doctors, outings and points of interest.
- Transport meals, deliver supplies, assist with loading and unloading of meals, food, and supplies.
- Maintain all related passenger lists, trip records, and other information as required by the Agency.
- Perform daily pre-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ensure vans are properly fueled and maintained.
- Possess a valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Dependable with knowledge of the principles and practices of operating and servicing vans.
- Thorough knowledge of the traffic laws and regulations governing van operation.
- Ability to assist clients in wheelchairs.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.

- Part-time position – 2 days a week;
Mon & Tue or Thu & Fri - Hourly Rate: $16.75 - $17.77
