Job Title
DISPATCHER for Trucking and Materials
Department: Trucking / Materials
Reports to: Trucking Supervisor
Major Role and Purpose- Assists with scheduling and dispatching of dump trucks (company and hired).
- Provide oversight to ensure all necessary labor, materials, and equipment arrive at each job site in a timely manner.
- Receive and maintain communications with crews regarding job status, problems, customer satisfaction, payment, etc.
- Assign drivers to trucks and provide accurate directions to pickup and delivery facilities.
- Maintain the control board for accuracy.
- Answer phones in a professional manner.
- Assist customers in materials purchasing.
- Track daily activities of trucks and generate operational reports.
- Perform all other duties deemed necessary or assigned by supervisor.
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 3 years’ experience.
- Must have general knowledge of highway systems in the region.
- Must be able to work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of GPS technology and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Familiar with truck and highway construction activities
