Commonwealth Building Materials, a leading Virginia supplier of drywall and construction products, is seeking a Delivery Helper to support safe, accurate deliveries to commercial and residential job sites. In this hands-on role, you'll assist drivers with loading, unloading, and stocking drywall, steel framing, insulation, and related materials. You'll handle physical material movement, verify orders, and interact with contractors while following strict safety procedures.

This position offers on-the-job training, exposure to logistics and operations, and opportunities to grow into lead or driver roles in a team-oriented, safety-first environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist driver with safe loading and unloading of drywall, steel, and other building materials
• Verify orders against delivery tickets to ensure accuracy
• Handle, stack, and secure materials on trucks and at job sites
• Operate or assist with material handling equipment under supervision
• Follow all safety procedures and use required PPECommunicate professionally with contractors and site personnel
• Help maintain clean, organized trucks, yards, and warehouses
• Support basic inventory counts and material staging for routes
