Locum Tenens (Travel Contract)

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 7am–6pm;
Night call 6pm–7am;
Weekend call 7am–7am with rounding approximately 10am–4pm

Shift Duration:  10-hour days

Flexible Options:  1 week on / 1 week off or weekend-only providers considered

Estimated Weekly Salary:  $4660–$5000 per week

Physician Assistant Qualifications

Active Physician Assistant license (PA-C) in Pennsylvania

Minimum 1 year of experience in cardiothoracic surgery or related surgical specialty

Proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting

Ability to first assist in procedures including CABG, thoracic cases, AVR, TAVR, and aortic cases

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Cardiothoracic Surgery Responsibilities

First assist in scheduled cardiothoracic surgical cases

Participate in rotating on-call coverage for emergency off-hours cases

Round on and manage patients in the hospital setting

Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care

Perform endoscopic vein harvesting and other advanced procedures as required

Divide and manage patient lists with the team, discuss cases with physicians, and complete patient sign-off
