JOB SCOPE:
Must be proficient in the set-up and operation of CNC vertical and horizontal milling machines. Must be able to perform all adjustments necessary to machine and control, to assure part integrity and first article acceptance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the set-ups and operation of all machines and processes, which comprise the cell to which he or she is assigned. Provide adequate training to operators as required. Utilize tool pre-setting equipment to set and adjust all tools as necessary. Must be able to make full offset adjustments as required to support first article inspection. Assist Tool Design, as needed, in new fixture, program proofing and tooling setups, maintain and monitor process, program readouts, and setup during the period of operation for required quality of parts.
Ability to follow drawings, operation sheets, tooling pre-set sheets, and other related set-up documentation. Perform assigned tasks to required quality and production standards. Analyze set-up and production problems and be able to determine cause and corrective action. Maintain equipment, tools and work area in a safe and clean condition. Perform assigned cleaning required to maintain individual's immediate work area in a clean condition.
Perform other duties as required. Prepare and/or maintain all necessary documentation. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED Two years of experience and/or training on CNC Machines Basic math skills Must have experience in set-up and operation of 3 and 4 axis CNC vertical and horizontal milling machines. Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, Safety Data sheets, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
