Safety Manager

This full-time Safety Manager role focuses on creating and maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing environment. You will oversee safety practices on the production floor, support general labor and assembly operations, and ensure adherence to OSHA standards while promoting a strong safety culture across all shifts.

Pay range $75,000 - $100,000

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures that support a safe manufacturing environment.
• Monitor daily production, general labor, and assembly line activities to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of larger machines, hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment to identify and correct hazards.
• Lead and participate in safety audits, incident investigations, and root-cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide ongoing safety training and coaching to production and general labor teams, including proper lifting techniques, use of hand and power tools, and safe material handling practices.
• Collaborate closely with production supervisors and team members to integrate safety requirements into assembly, packaging, and inspection processes.
• Promote a strong safety culture by encouraging teamwork, open communication, and reporting of near-misses and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, and documentation required for regulatory compliance.
• Ensure that all employees use appropriate safety equipment and follow established procedures when working with machinery and tools.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency across the manufacturing operation.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in safety management within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
• Hands-on experience supporting safety in production, general labor, and general production settings.
• Familiarity with assembly line operations, including assembly work, packaging, and inspection processes.
• Ability to assess and mitigate risks related to hand and power tools, lifting, and material handling.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and promote a culture of safety and teamwork.
• Strong observation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills to deliver clear safety instructions and training.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Williamsport, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $18.15/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
