Electronic Mechanic
Position Title:
ELECTRONIC MECHANIC FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT GRADE: 14 S JOB CODE: 105923 DIVISION: P&M UNIT TOP UNIT DEPARTMENT: 803
JOB SCOPE:
Install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair all types of simple to complex industrial electronic equipment, machinery and instrumentation. In addition, install, repair and maintain instrumentation in the heat-treating area. Utilize electronic testing equipment, schematic prints, wiring diagrams, handbooks, formulae, blueprints and charts to locate and repair malfunctions or install components.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform other duties inherently required of the job classification.
- Perform assigned work in a safety conscious manner.
- Perform assigned work to specified quality and production standards.
- Maintain equipment and tools used by the individual in a clean condition.
- Perform assigned cleaning required to maintain individual's immediate work area in a clean condition.
- Prepare and/or maintain all documentation necessary to the duties of the job classification.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of apprenticeship as an electronic mechanic or electronic technician; or an associate degree, certificate program or trade school program in industrial electronics and two years' experience as an electronic mechanic or electronic technician; or 4 years' experience as an electronic mechanic or electronic technician.
