Family Resource Specialist
Seeking a dedicated, compassionate Family Resource Specialist to join our team!

Kids Peace is a private charity dedicated to supporting the behavioral and mental health needs of children, families, and communities. Since 1882, we have offered psychiatric hospital services, residential treatment programs, accredited educational services, and foster care programs. Our team works in an environment defined by compassion, creativity, collaboration, and a commitment to delivering hope and healing.
Position Overview
Our Foster Parent Recruiter ensures a pool of available local foster parents ready to care for children when the call comes.
Responsibilities:
- Create awareness of the need for local foster parents via paid and unpaid advertising, and by representing Kids Peace in community-based activities and events to create visibility about foster care
- Recruit, interview, and evaluate foster parent candidates according to state and Kids Peace requirements.
- Participate in training efforts to teach those parents the skills and knowledge about the foster care system and the children we serve
- Support foster parent recognition, retention and satisfaction through various office and community events
- Fundraise and create awareness of the ongoing need of resources and supports for local foster youth

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related human services degree required;
- Prior experience in foster care, adoption, or other family serving systems preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic Computer skills
- Valid Driver's license and registered vehicle-able to work independently in the field
- Must be 21
