The Emergency Department at Windham provides patients with high levels of care, with symptoms ranging from traumas to the common cold to drug overdoses and everything in between. Our multi-disciplinary team includes registered nurses, advanced providers, nursing assistants, and administrative staff. The emergency department at Windham is equipped with 23 beds, including a fast-track area, and behavioral health space. Our RNs see a wide variety of patients, including those with behavioral health and opioid related needs.

Our staff prides itself in its flexibility, initiative to help others in need as well as our strong cohesiveness as a team which ultimately gives our patients the highest level of care they expect and deserve.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• High School or equivalency

• Certified Nurses Aid Certificate, EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) with clinical experience required, Nursing Student OR successful completion of Windham PCT 3 boot-camp

• BLS Certification required or completion within the first three months of employment.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements

• Knowledge of medical terminology and computer skills preferred

• Knowledge of arrhythmia detection and phlebotomy preferred
