ROLEOVERVIEW
The Aggregate Sales representative is a key cornerstone of the business growth strategy of Knife River Corporation and serves as the primary link between the company and external aggregate customers. By blending sales acumen, technical knowledge, and customer service, this role helps ensure that the right products reach the right projects, contributing to the success of Knife River across the region.
Responsible for sales policies and practices for the Knife River operating companies in the specific geographic market which includes construction materials.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related field.
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience desired.
- Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, acceptable driving record.
- 4-year degree in marketing, business, engineering or construction plus seven years in progressively responsible sales management positions or equivalent experience in a construction or materials based business.
- Extensive understanding of product application and use.
- Extensive knowledge of the construction industry, material suppliers, major market share competitors.
- Extensive knowledge of pricing strategies.
- Strong sales and marketing skills.
- Understanding company financials.
- Excellent negotiator.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
