Overview

Trade Compliance Specialist, Lead

In this role, you will apply deep expertise in export classifications and regulatory frameworks, including EAR and ITAR, to guide the full lifecycle of export and import compliance from product design through delivery. You will lead the intake and evaluation of product reviews for trade compliance inquiries, provide clear and actionable guidance on product classifications, and support license determinations that ensure alignment with complex regulatory requirements.

Acting as a key owner of enterprise-wide trade compliance processes, you will build, refine, and maintain robust protocols that help safeguard the organization’s obligations in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape. You will partner closely with business units and program teams to operationalize trade control requirements and embed them into daily activities, ensuring regulatory considerations are built into workflows from the outset.

Success in this role hinges on your ability to serve as a collaborative, relationship‑oriented advisor who strengthens internal controls, drives awareness, and empowers teams to uphold compliance responsibilities with confidence. By translating complex export regulations into practical, digestible guidance, you will enable internal clients to understand and own their obligations while reinforcing a strong, consistent compliance culture across the enterprise.

This role requires U.S. citizenship due to the nature of work performed within the facility.

  • Classify products, software, and solutions for export purposes, with specialized expertise in encryption-controlled items under EAR and ITAR
  • Maintain export license files and records in the compliance database to accurately reflect current status
  • Review and research export compliance issues raised by the business or senior management, and provide background analysis and recommendations for further action
  • Provide analytical support for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the international trade compliance program, policies, and procedures
  • Help with special projects and other departmental responsibilities, as assigned
