Assistant Professor – Information Technology and Software Engineering (Full‑Time, Tenure‑Track)

Position begins in August
2026 at the Williston campus of Vermont State University.

• Teach undergraduate courses across all levels, including advanced web development, programming languages, object‑oriented programming, computer hardware and organization, database systems, data structures and algorithms, systems analysis and design, and software engineering.
• Support student learning in multiple programming languages such as Java, C/C++, and Rust.
• Engage undergraduate students in research and publications.
• Develop and maintain internal and external collaborations.
• Participate in university committees, scholarly activities, student advising, and service to the college community.
• Assist in curriculum development and educational facility improvements as needed.

• Earned a Ph.D. (preferred) or M.S. in computer science or a related field.
• Previous undergraduate teaching experience.
• Experience with diverse teaching modalities, including in‑person, face‑to‑face‑plus, and asynchronous online instruction.

• Weekly hours: 37.5
• Budgeted wage: $57,500 minimum (before points review)
