Salary: 5,403 to 7,243 per month (Engineering I II III)
Employment:
Full‑time, Regular, Professional (FLSA)

Responsibilities
  • Manage small and medium construction projects, and serve as the main inspector on large projects.
  • Monitor contractor operations and ensure each project is built according to the plans and specifications.
  • Design projects and prepare plan documents for district‑designed projects.
  • Inspect large projects, fill in for project engineers when absent.
  • Conduct bridge inspections, preliminary surveys, bridge deck evaluations, construction survey and materials testing.
  • Perform other miscellaneous job duties as required.
Qualifications Transportation Engineer III
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or another applicable engineering degree.
  • Four years of professional‑level engineering work experience.
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam, as specified by the Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
  • Class D driver’s license required for travel to meetings and project locations.
Transportation Engineer II
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or another applicable engineering degree.
  • Two years of professional‑level engineering work experience.
  • Eligibility to write the Fundamentals of Engineering exam, as specified by the Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
  • Class D driver’s license required for travel to meetings and project locations.
Transportation Engineer I
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or another applicable engineering degree.
  • Eligibility to write the Fundamentals of Engineering exam, as specified by the Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
  • Class D driver’s license required for travel to meetings and project locations.
