Customer Service Rep
Duties
- Performs and/or assists other recreation specialists in the operation of the skills development center.
- Sells resale store merchandise, takes reservations and payment for classes, ensuring all proper money handling procedures are followed.
- Assists in marking stock for sale, stocking merchandise on shelves, and taking orders for special items.
- Assists in setting up displays and decorations for special events.
- Becomes familiar with and/or knows where to find information concerning programs within the Services squadron.
- Assists in inventories and the security of materials and equipment within the center.
- Assists with group activities that require more than one staff monitor.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.

- Practical knowledge of skills development-type activities, rules and/or procedures.
- Ability to safeguard and handle cash and skill in the use of various related equipment and facilities.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
- Skill in dealing with the public.
- Availability to work uncommon work schedules including weekends.
No experience is required.
EducationSome federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
Foreign EducationEducation completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
