Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Clinic CNA at CHI St. Alexius Health Williston, now part of Common Spirit Health, you’ll assist in the delivery of patient care and performance of established tasks and procedures under the supervision of a physically present and immediately available Registered Nurse/Hospital Provider. You are held accountable for policies and procedures of the department and organization.

• Perform/record vital signs, CPR, apply oxygen delivery systems, perform simple wound irrigation/direct pressure/dressings, prepare sterile field for suturing, assist provider with treatment when appropriate, apply restraints, clean medical equipment and prepare for sterilization, collect urine specimens, and phlebotomy.
• Assist in making observations, gathering data, and identifying patient care needs.
• Assist with patient transports and transfers.
• Answer telephones, filing, greet patients/visitors, transcribe provider’s orders, electronic data entry, and assist with documentation.
• Assist with cleaning, stocking, and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
• Practice safe work habits, compliance with safety rules and regulations, and adhere to safety policies.

New hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Education and Experience
High School Diploma, preferred.

Licensure and Certifications

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)-CPR, required within 30 days of start.
• Certified Nurse Assistant;
  North Dakota, required upon hire.
