End Date: 05-25-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; team scheduling with variable weekends and every-other-holiday coverage; nights-first float responsibilities and occasional overnight x-ray coverage (11:30 PM - 7:00 AM) as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality CT exams for adults and pediatric patients, including stroke, CTA, STEMI, trauma, abdominal pain, head injury and kidney stone protocols
  • Operate and troubleshoot Philips 128-slice primary and Philips 16-slice backup CT scanners with professionalism and safety
  • Prepare and manage contrast administration using Bracco injectors and follow established contrast protocols
  • Ensure radiation safety at all times — wear and monitor radiation badge and follow department radiation policies
  • Document studies accurately in PACS/CRTIS and MEDITECH, and communicate findings effectively to the care team
  • Provide excellent patient positioning, patient education, and compassionate care throughout imaging procedures
  • Cover after-hours x-ray duties (11:30 PM - 7:00 AM) when scheduled and float to support team needs
  • Work efficiently in a high-volume outpatient CT environment (M–F daytime schedule) while maintaining quality and safety
Qualifications
  • ARRT (R) with CT certification (ARRT (CT) or ARRT (R) with CT CME requirements met) — required
  • BLS (AHA) certification — required
  • Radiation badge required and adherence to radiation safety protocols
  • Minimum of 2 years of CT imaging experience
  • Comfortable operating Philips CT systems and Bracco injectors; PACS/CRTIS and MEDITECH experience preferred
  • Ability to float to x-ray after hours and function independently during overnight shifts
  • Willingness to complete three 12-hour orientation shifts and work within team scheduling
  • Compliance with facility radius/affiliation rules (no full-time/part-time/PRN at Common Spirit-affiliated facilities in past 12 months) and ability to provide required RTO upfront
Knowledge & Skills
  • CT imaging techniques and protocols (stroke, CTA, trauma, pediatrics, abdominal, cardiac/STEMI)
  • CT scanner operation and basic troubleshooting (Philips 128-slice, Philips 16-slice)
  • Contrast injector operation and contrast safety (Bracco injectors)
  • PACS, CRTIS, and MEDITECH documentation workflows
  • Radiation safety principles and proper badge usage
  • Excellent patient positioning, communication, and triage skills in acute care settings
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced department and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
