Behavioral Health Therapist – Crisis
Compensation and Benefits- Sign‑on bonus up to $18,000; moving expenses up to $5,000**
Eligible for 11% Crisis Differential Pay on top of base salary.
OverviewBe part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high‑quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover. Be part of an interdisciplinary team that provides individuals opportunity for recovery management so they can live and work independently in their home and community.
Responsibilities- Complete assessments and service plans.
- Organize, direct, and guide care provided by other team members, and monitor and update service recommendations.
- Provide skills training, individual, family, and group therapy.
- Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments in the office, community, and on‑call.
- Provide education and consult to families, community, interns, and residents.
- Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, or areas approved by the North Dakota Board of Counseling Examiners and ND licensure as an LCSW or LPCC.
- OR Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and licensure as an LMFT by the ND Board of Marriage and Family Therapy.
- OR a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology with eligibility for licensure as LMFT by the ND Board of Marriage and Family Therapy.
- OR a Doctorate in Psychology and ND licensure as a psychologist by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners.
- Valid driver’s license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new‑hire orientation.
This position is part of a blended workplace model and requires travel to meet clients at their locations.
