** Job Summary and Responsibilities*
* As our Surgical Tech at CHI Williston Health, now part of Common Spirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you'll prepare the operating room for a variety of surgeries. We can't operate without you.

The operating room (OR) runs as a team; every person on the team has an important role that directly impacts the patient. Your success in this role comes from your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with a team taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process.

** Prepare & Maintain:
** Set up procedure rooms with all necessary instrumentation, equipment, and supplies.

** Sterile Expertise:
** Demonstrate mastery of sterile technique, sterilization processes, environmental controls, and instrument decontamination.

** Team Support:
** Establish and maintain an organized sterile field, ensuring all team members adhere to sterile environment protocols.

** Surgical Assistance:
** Assist surgeons by providing visualization of the surgical wound, aiding with wound closure, and applying sterile dressings.

** Anatomy & Instrumentation:
** Apply your knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to surgical procedures, and advance your understanding of instrumentation across various surgical services.

** Accuracy & Safety:
** Perform accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts according to established procedures.

+ Certified First Assistant - Certified Surgical Technologists (CST/CSFA)

+ Unlicensed Assistive Person: ND (UAP:ND)

+ Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
