Radiology - CT Tech

Profession: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

License: North Dakota license required

Certifications: BLS, ARRT

Must-Have: ARRT certification required for North Dakota, IV capability preferred

Description:

Unit does not involve clinical duties.

Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius.

Candidates may not have worked full-time, part-time, or PRN in any associated facility within the past year.

The department includes 1 CT scanner, 1 mobile DR unit, and 1 DR room.

EKG may be required, but training is available.

Common types of imaging performed include CT scans and general radiology exams (X-rays).Scheduling for mobile units such as MRI, ultrasounds, and Dexascans is part of the role.

The average number of scans/studies performed daily is a combination of 5 X-rays and CTs.The department uses Epic for electronic medical records (EMR) and Intellispace for PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System).Department-specific equipment includes a Toshiba CT scanner, a Carestream X-ray room, and a Siemens mobile unit.

There are no Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs) present; some personnel are limited X-ray techs.

There is no in-house radiologist available.

IV capability is preferred for this role.

Regular shifts run from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.There is a requirement for on-call duty including nights during the week and weekends.

The response time for on-call is 20 minutes.

Preferred attire is scrubs or casual wear; jeans are not permitted.

Department-specific orientation is provided.

The cancellation policy allows for four shifts to be canceled during a 13-week assignment.

There is no requirement for a BSN.This is an acute care setting in the Allied division.
