As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) on our team, you’ll help clients develop more robust systems by building resilient infrastructure, adding redundancy, implementing monitoring tools, and automating wherever possible.
You’ll reduce toil by scripting routine tasks and automating self‑repair, furthering your skills in aviation systems while growing your SRE experience. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities- Build resilient infrastructure and redundancy across systems.
- Implement and maintain monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, etc.).
- Automate routine tasks, self‑repair processes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage infrastructure as code (Terraform, Cloud Formation, Ansible) and orchestrate cloud operations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve system reliability and performance.
- 6+ years of experience in a professional IT environment.
- 2+ years of provisioning and managing infrastructure and applications in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- 2+ years of experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Kibana, and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Experience as a site reliability engineer in an enterprise environment supporting Cloud applications or infrastructure.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code environments, automated server or network configurations, large‑scale software deployments, and CI/CD.
- Experience with automation tools (Terraform, Cloud Formation, Ansible) for system configurations and Dev Ops pipelines.
- Experience managing Git‑based version control systems (Git Lab or Git Hub).
- Experience documenting environment state, performing gap analyses, and producing recommendation artifacts.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Cybersecurity concepts, threats, vulnerabilities, patching, boundary defense, auditing, or authentication.
- Automation to improve user experience (UX).
- Scripting in Bash, Power Shell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby.
- Open technologies, Dev Ops, and IaC tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Open Shift, Jenkins, Git, Terraform, Ansible).
- Cloud native container orchestration (EKS).
- System integration protocols (JSON, REST, XML).
- Configuration using JSON, YAML, or XML.
- Dev Ops and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with build, deployment, release automation, or orchestration.
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Associate/Professional or Dev Ops Professional).
