Reporting to the Client Care Manager, the Customs Import Specialist is responsible for processing shipment releases for our clients accurately and efficiently during evening hours, while delivering outstanding service.
What You’ll Do:- Monitor assigned entry folders and prioritize shipments by ETA for timely submission to customs
- Process entries for ocean and air shipments
- Handle in-bonds, AES filings, prior notices, manifests, and ISF submissions
- Review documentation to ensure complete entry packages before processing
- Communicate internally and externally with carriers, vendors, and clients via phone and email
- Monitor entry dashboards and elevate “moment of truth” issues to the Production Manager
- Perform other duties as required
- Ability to represent GHY professionally and collaborate effectively
- Strong prioritization skills in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Completion of Grade 12 Education
- Prior Brokerage Services/Logistics Experience Preferred
- Sitting at desk, 95%
- Standing at counter/machine, 5%
- Associate Level II/III:
Wage dependent upon experience. PREMIUM pay offered for Evening Shift.

HOURS OF WORKFull-Time
Schedule:
40 hours

- Stat Holidays may be required to be worked annually
- Participation in the after hours/on-call rotation will be required
