BigFix and System Administrator

Overview

Your combination of people skills and system administrator expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. You will design and build out a new Big Fix environment from scratch, onboard new environments, and provide a patching, vulnerability remediation, and secure baselining solution to the various internal labs.

• Ensure the infrastructure is functional and available to internal teams.
• Add new features and troubleshoot issues in the Big Fix environment.
• Provide documentation for internal knowledge bases and conduct internal training.
• Perform upgrades and updates to the environment and coordinate any related downtime to users.
• Identify problem areas, opportunities for improvement, and provide support and innovation while securing our internal resources.
• Support varied environments, including cloud, on‑prem hardware, and virtual machines.

You Have:

• Experience in deploying and managing Big Fix and advanced system administration.
• Knowledge of various operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
• Knowledge of networks and firewalls for establishing and troubleshooting connections to newly created environments.
• Knowledge of current security best practices and baselines and how to implement them effectively while still maintaining functionality.
• Ability to demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills with exceptional customer service.
• HS diploma or GED.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice If You Have:

• Experience managing a staff of support personnel.
• Ability to script for gathering and reporting on metrics for leadership.
• Big Fix technologies certification.
• Security+ certification.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $ (annualized USD).
