The Service Department is seeking an Oil and Gas
Service Supervisor for our Williston, ND branch
.

Essential Duties- Maintain a safe working environment and observe all safety procedures, laws, policies, and rules; investigate accidents in a timely, accurate and complete manner.
- Communicate with internal and external customers in a manner that promotes a positive relationship.
- Initiate and respond to communication with other departments, and customers in a timely manner to optimize customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate all department labor needs as requested by internal and external customers.
- Work with customers to determine source of problems.
- Prepares customer repair estimates and/or quotes as required in a timely and accurate manner and provides follow-up.
- Communicate with customers concerning service activities including reviewing jobs, explaining invoices, identifying need for future repairs and making maintenance recommendations.
- Manage WIP in accordance with Company operational goals
- Handle a large volume of phone calls in a timely manner while making accurate and precise decisions regarding prioritizing all service calls.
- Manage technicians to ensure safe and efficient repairs/prep processes and coordinate training efforts to ensure the development of technicians.
- Maintain knowledge of the skills of the labor force (technicians) to manage job placement of the technicians.
- Keeps up to date on overall activities of the department, identifying problem areas and taking corrective action.
- Accurately completes all necessary paperwork.
- Responsible for ensuring repairs and preps are complete, on time and on budget.
- Maintains control of all assigned company property and ensures that equipment is maintained in safe operating condition at all times.
- Works to build trust among direct reports and peers alike with reliability and credibility.
- Regularly demonstrates the Company Values and establishes accountability for self and others to do the same. Addresses behaviors that are counter to our values.
- Supervisor is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.
- Review and manage technician performance in alignment with established Key Performance Indicators
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Must be motivated and work with minimal supervision.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising annual performance reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Two-year degree or equivalent experience and training preferred
- At least 2 years’ maintenance experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Mechanical experience with large bore diesel and natural gas engines
- Familiarity with Caterpillar service platforms (SIS and DBS preferred)
- Prior supervisory experience or Service Management Training preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, team building, and communication skills
- Ability to multitask, make informed decisions, and lead under pressure
- Passion for delivering technical excellence and service leadership
- Strong computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet, and other Windows based programs
- Must possess a clean driving record and be able to meet company insurability guidelines.
- Requires the ability to stand up to eight hours per day and includes twisting, bending, squatting, sitting stooping and kneeling.
- Flexibility to travel and visit our customers will be required. Experience working at a Caterpillar (CAT) dealership or with CAT products is ideal.
