Job Description
Role and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities Customer Service
Your primary responsibility is to warmly welcome customers to BDS, modeling our professional, service-oriented business culture. Provide them with the highest quality of service and product knowledge.
Skills MasteryAll shop personnel must master both basic and advanced skills in processes, techniques, assemblies, installation, and technical evaluation procedures.
LeadershipAs Shop Lead, you are responsible for the leadership, morale, and culture of the Shop Technicians. They must inspect, assemble, test, repair, and paint/clean various surface components (Frac, Production, and Drilling Equipment) according to specific verbal and written guidelines in the shop environment.
TrainingAs the leader of the shop, you are responsible for training the shop technicians according to the guidelines set forth in the HSES Manual, QMS, API 6A, ISO 9001:2015, and API Q1 standards.
Job Coordination and ProductionYou are responsible for ensuring the production and coordination of jobs by priority. This includes managing workflow and ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
Quality ControlYou must be able to inspect, identify, and correct flawed equipment within the allotted time based on written procedures, ensuring all company and industry standards are met without exception.
DocumentationAccurately and honestly complete and submit paperwork associated with job tasks and daily duties (e.g., JSA, Safety Docs, FST, FNCR, REQ, timecards) within the set time frame. Report any non-compliance immediately to your supervisor or HR. Properly label or stamp equipment as required.
MaintenanceTeam members are responsible for inventorying, maintaining, and logging all assets, including shop tooling, vehicles, and related items.
CommunicationAll BDS team members must effectively communicate with team members, customers, vendors, and the community in both written and verbal formats. Assist other team members with daily activities and job-related tasks approved by the Quality & Production Team.
SafetyTeam members must perform their duties in the safest manner possible, aiming for a 100% accident-free and incident-free environment.
RepresentationAll Bulldog Services LLP team members, as representatives, must professionally present, uphold, and solidify the representation and respect of our motto, "Restoring Principles & Integrity One Connection at a Time," at all times.
Physical RequirementsFrequent standing and lifting are required. This position involves spending 95% of the time in the shop environment, 3% in the yard, and 2% in the office.
Other Responsibilities- Lift equipment in accordance with the company safety manual (max 50 lbs).
- Review staged jobs before loading.
- Operate forklifts (only with current forklift training certification), overhead cranes, testing equipment, and rigging in accordance with current training and the Bulldog Services Safety Manual.
- Adhere to dress codes that prohibit clothing items promoting or suggesting non-business-related propaganda.
- Conform to the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by BDS in compliance with OSHA regulations and directives.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all posted and non-posted safety guidelines. Non-posted guidelines are found in the BDS safety manual.
- Monday through Sunday, 24/7 during your on-call scheduled days on the tower. This is a 24-hour on-call position, and employees must complete any pertinent duties by the end of the job, if possible.
- Days off call are based on a basic day of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, depending on workload.
