Role Overview

This is a seasonal position. You can use your winters off to travel, hunt, fish, or other activities you enjoy while your benefits continue year round

To maximize bituminous plant production through monitoring equipment operation and performing preventative maintenance.

• Perform daily equipment walk-around and site inspections to identify and correct unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
• Safely and properly perform maintenance and startup of Blacktop Plant.
• Monitor blacktop production.
• Verify blacktop meets specifications.
• Monitor oil consumption of blacktop plant.
• Complete daily progress reports.
• Shovel excess material away from plant.
• Fill silo.
• Tear down and set up blacktop plant.
• Calibrate blacktop plant.
• Assist with repairs.
• Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written); self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.).
• Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisor.
• Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance. Good housekeeping skills. Lockout/Tagout.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• General education, grammar and arithmetic. GED or high school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical and electrical experience.
• Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card, and an acceptable driving record.
