We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing support and direct care within our two residential group homes in Butler County. This position operates within a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model, focusing on person-centered care, medication management, wellness support, and coordination of services for adults with mental health diagnoses. The ideal candidate will support daily clinical needs while helping maintain a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-focused residential environment.
Experience working in behavioral health is preferred. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Successful completion of an LPN program with current licensure through the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Relevant nursing experience required; behavioral health or residential care experience preferred
- Strong communication, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively in a residential behavioral health setting
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must successfully pass a background check
- Provide nursing care and support for individuals receiving services within the residential group homes
- Conduct nursing assessments, monitor consumer health status, and document clinical findings
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by physician orders
- Provide education, training, testing, monitoring, evaluation, and updates for MAC/MAS staff and nursing personnel
- Support stabilization, wellness monitoring, and continuity of care within the CCBHC care model
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to promote recovery-focused, person-centered care
- Assist in maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic residential environment
- Support communication with treatment team members regarding changes in consumer condition or care needs
- Work directly with adults receiving behavioral health services in residential group home settings
- Support daily wellness, medication management, and long‑term recovery for individuals with mental health diagnoses
- Engage in meaningful work that improves quality of life, independence, and continuity of care
ALL candidates must be able to type and have basic computer skills, possess a valid driver’s license, eligibility for coverage under center liability insurance and individually held vehicle liability insurance with a clear background check.
