Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our OB Nurse at CHI St. Alexius Health Williston, you’ll guide patients through the labor and childbirth process, focusing on the safety of the mother and baby, with kindness and compassion.

In this role you will perform triage, conduct screening exams on walk‑ins, guide patients through induction and delivery, monitor maternal dilation, and continuously monitor fetal heart rate. You will coach mothers during delivery and provide updates and support to partners and loved ones.

The day can vary—ordinary milestones, unexpected complications, and moments of grief—so remaining calm and in control is essential. You must respond swiftly to changing conditions and maintain a composed presence for patients and families.

  • Assess antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients for risk factors, normal progress, and symptoms of problems; monitor continually and act as needed.
  • Respond to life‑saving situations according to nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Prioritize care plans based on assessed needs and anticipate personnel, supplies, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with providers to deliver exceptional care.
  • Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Provide patient and family education.

We are offering a $35,000 employment incentive until July 1, 2026 to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
