** Job Summary and Responsibilities*

+ Maintain a knowledge base regarding sedation/analgesic and anesthetic agents and techniques, physiologic and physiological response to the recovering patient

+ Assess, plan, intervention for and evaluate the physical and physiological response to analgesia; able to plan for the risks and the interventions for those risks associated with the administration of sedation, analgesia, and anesthetic agents

+ Assesses patient's health and continuously monitors; detect changes in symptoms, health or pain, and take action as necessary; and quickly and accurately assess patient care needs

+ Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol

+ Collaborates with other care staff to assure smooth transition for patient throughout the facility using proper hand off techniques

+ Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures

+ Minimum of two (2) years RN experience

+ Registered Nurse: ND, upon hire and

+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire and

+ Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and

+ Pediatric Advanced Life Support, upon hire

** Preferred*
* + PACU RN experience
