Position Title(s):
Assistant Store Manager and Supervisor
Job Summary:
As a member of Management, you will be the heartbeat of our store, responsible for managing daily operations, inspiring a high-performance team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You’ll have the autonomy to shape the store’s success and contribute to our company’s growth.
- Leadership & Team Management:
Recruit, train, and develop a motivated team. Foster a positive work environment, set clear goals, and provide ongoing feedback to ensure top performance. - Customer
Experience:
Create an exceptional shopping experience by addressing customer needs, resolving issues, and ensuring high standards of customer service. - Sales & Performance:
Drive store sales and profitability through effective merchandise management, promotional strategies, and achieving sales targets. - Operational Excellence:
Oversee daily operations including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store maintenance. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations. - Financial Management:
Manage store budgets, control expenses, and analyze sales data to optimize performance and drive revenue growth. - Marketing & Community Engagement:
Implement local marketing initiatives and build strong relationships with the community to enhance brand presence and attract new customers. - Innovation & Problem-Solving:
Stay current with industry trends and competitor activities. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance store operations. - Additional duties and projects as required.
- Experience:
Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or similar role, with a track record of achieving sales targets and managing a team. - Leadership
Skills:
Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. - Customer-Centric:
Passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences. - Analytical
Skills:
Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions. - Flexibility:
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed. - Tech-Savvy:
Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications.
- Assistant Store Manager:
Open availability for store opening and closing hours, including mornings, days, and nights. Minimum standard work week of 5 days, average 44 hours (increased during peak periods). Must be punctual and have reliable transportation, speak and read/write English, and perform business-related mathematics. May require relocation within company network. - Supervisor:
Availability during opening and closing hours. Minimum 5 days and 30-hour work week. Must also be punctual and meet transportation and English skills. - All Management:
Availability on weekends and holidays.
Requires prolonged standing (5–14 hours per day); long periods during peak sale periods. Must stoop, kneel, reach, pull, climb ladders or stairs, and lift items weighing 5–25 lbs regularly. Requires good vision with color differentiation. The environment is moderately noisy.
EducationHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent; 2+ years’ experience in retail leadership strongly preferred.
CompensationAssistant Manager: $20.38 – $23.50 per hour with bonus opportunities. Supervisor: $19.00 per hour. All roles eligible for 401K, medical, dental, vision, sick leave, parental leave, and company-paid time off.
