Position: Territory Sales Representative - North Central US Region

Territory Sales Representative – North Central US Region

Location: Williston, ND

Reports to: VP, Sales & Marketing

Job Summary: This position is responsible for selling our products or services, generating leads, building customer relationships, and meeting sales targets. It requires strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills to help achieve the company’s sales goals.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Customer Sales and Services Management to develop and implement target account objectives, strategies, and action plans.
  • Identify potential customers through research, networking, and following up on leads.
  • Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting relationships with clients and provide excellent customer service.
  • Understand the company’s products/services and clearly communicate their benefits and features.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Manage the entire sales process from prospecting to closing, ensuring high‑quality follow‑up with clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms, close sales, and process orders efficiently.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and customer feedback to improve sales tactics.
  • Document sales activities, update CRM systems, and prepare reports for management on sales goals and targets.
  • Identify prospects by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations, and attending trade shows and conferences.
  • Answer customer inquiries regarding products, prices, availability, and product uses.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and communicate this information to management.
  • Work with Parts and Service Departments to introduce customers to the other services we provide.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field, or related industry experience.
  • 5+ years of sales experience; preferably in the heavy equipment industry.
  • Experience with crane operations, with a greater emphasis on service mechanic truck work.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, negotiating deals, and managing key accounts.
  • Experience leading and managing sales teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for managing client relationships and team collaboration.
  • Strong ability to analyze market trends and sales data to inform decision‑making.
  • A customer‑focused approach with a strong emphasis on satisfaction and retention.
  • Ability to address customer issues and provide solutions efficiently.
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and sales software (CRM).
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
